As the Photography/Film Week organized by the Zonguldak Exhibition Chamber draws to a close, the new program has been announced.
On Tuesday, December 10, 2024, " Onur", which brings the festive solidarity of the coal workers' 84/85 long strike in England to the screen, on Thursday, December 12, " Umut" by Yılmaz Güney, the beloved actor of Zonguldak cinema audiences in the 70s, on Saturday , December 14 , " The Last Beach" (Rüya Köksal), which is about the construction process of the Black Sea coastal road, and " The Last Horseman" (Dilşat Zülkadiroğlu) , which is about the photojournalist and journalist Ergin Konuksever, whom we lost two years ago, will be on the screen , and on Tuesday, December 17, " Amarcord" (Fellini).
The ' Zonguldak Coal Basin Miners' photography exhibition , consisting of 60 photographs by Ahmet Tokyay, Alaaddin Kara and İbrahim Akyürek, will continue to accompany the events.
The events, which started on November 12, 2024, were prepared for the 40th anniversary of the 84/85 long strike of the British (UK) coal miners and the 34th anniversary of the 90/91 long strike of the Zonguldak (Turkey) Coal Basin miners.
The Photography/Film Week, which lasted for two months, was dedicated to the memory of İrfan Yalçın, the writer of coal miners, and Nedim Günsür, the painter remembered as a naive friend of the mine workers .
